Interventional Radiology
Image-guided minimally invasive solutions for vascular and non-vascular interventions.
We're building an ecosystem founded on a single conviction: that the status quo should be questioned, that there is always a better way, and that the limits of what's possible are meant to be pushed. It all serves one purpose: helping veterinarians deliver better care to more patients. That conviction is our ethos.
Impactful solutions come from deep clinical domain expertise, a culture of creativity, and a spirit of collaboration.
Our founders have validated this method by consistently solving difficult challenges in veterinary medicine for more than 25 years: the tracheal stent for tracheal collapse; subcutaneous ureteral bypass, ureteral and urethral stents, and percutaneous nephrostomy for obstructive uropathy; embolization for intrahepatic portosystemic shunts (PTCE); transarterial chemoembolization for advanced malignancy (TACE); and the Canine Ductal Occluder and transcatheter embolization for congenital cardiovascular disease, among many others. Solutions they pioneered have touched millions of patients worldwide.
Our pipeline spans the interventional and surgical fields, where better solutions change the standard of care for veterinarians and their patients.
Image-guided minimally invasive solutions for vascular and non-vascular interventions.
Catheter-based tools for structural and congenital cardiac procedures.
Endoscopic devices that extend minimally invasive interventions across multiple organ systems.
Technology focused on restoring function and relieving pain in patients suffering from degenerative joint disease.
Solutions that make demanding soft tissue procedures faster, safer, and more reproducible.
Advancing the science through funded research and peer-reviewed publication, then turning new technique into everyday practice through wet labs, courses, and case-based instruction.
Expert guidance from planning through follow-up, so veterinarians are never on their own.
Developed alongside the practices we serve because the best solutions come from the people who use them.
Genisys brings together pioneers of veterinary interventional medicine, united by a mission to turn deep clinical expertise into breakthrough solutions that raise the standard of care for animals everywhere.
A fellowship-trained interventional radiologist, Jeffrey co-developed many foundational procedures in veterinary intervention, including stenting and embolization. Across three decades in academic medicine, he has trained hundreds of residents and fellows and authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, along with Radiology Secrets, now translated into 18 languages.
He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in interventional radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and earned an MBA from the Wharton School where he remains on faculty. At Genisys, he leads product and partnership strategy, bridging human and animal health innovation.
One of the founding figures of veterinary interventional radiology, Dr. Weisse invented and co-invented many of the discipline's foundational solutions across multiple organ systems. With Jeffrey Solomon, he established the first clinical service of its kind at the University of Pennsylvania and started the specialty's first fellowship program, before joining the Animal Medical Center in New York, where he leads its Interventional Radiology & Endoscopy service.
A co-founder of the Veterinary Interventional Radiology and Interventional Endoscopy Society (VIRIES), he co-edited Veterinary Image-Guided Interventions, the definitive text in the field, and has trained thousands of veterinarians worldwide.
Whether you're a practice looking to expand your clinical reach or a partner exploring collaboration, this is where it begins.
